Injury Management
(Phase 3)
Minutes
Injury Management is a plan to work on maintaining pain free and increased mobility to keep at bay any trauma or chronic injuries you have suffered. We refer to this as a third phase moving on from short term injury rehabilitation, this phase is long term injury management.
We work with you to create an effective treatment plan with the aim to resolve acute or chronic injuries long term.
Each client’s injury diagnosis is totally unique to you and your lifestyle. Therefore, an individualised treatment plan is critical in allowing you to return to full fitness as soon as possible.
Each bespoke treatment plan will incorporate a variety of different techniques, commonly including a combination of massage, stretching and strengthening sessions.
Our aim is to not only resolve the problem but to work on prevention to reduce the risk of re-injury in the future. Working with the client to strengthen surrounding structures, maintain joint mobility and educate the clients to recognise the risk factors for injuries to help us maintain your health and fitness and allows you to reach your goals.
Regular progress reviews can be completed to ensure that the course of treatment is working, although this not always needed when clients find they move and perform better than pre-injury, and become more attuned to any further issues and have the education needed to dissipate the onset or return of the previous injury.
Your therapist will inform you of what will be required for your upcoming session upon booking as this can regularly vary session to session, this may include:
Activewear – Shorts, Gym Top, Trainers
Loose fitting attire allowing therapists to access problem areas
A bottle of water
Any pre-existing medical notes/medication list
Any current fitness plan notes
