AQUATIC
REHABILITATION
Minutes
Some Injuries or health conditions require non-weight bearing aquatic rehabilitation programs to be designed and implemented. We can do this here in Aintree as we have full pool and hydrotherapy facilities including a variety of heat treatment areas. During sessions functional movements are broken down and learned slowly to gain muscle strength, joint mobility, neurological reaction and proprioception confidence ready to take the next steps of partial and full weight bearing activity.
Water helps the body feel weightless and supports buoyancy whilst providing resistance to movement, making it a perfect medium for rehabilitation. Aquatic rehabilitation can help with the re-education of functional activities and improve balance, co-ordination, and posture. It improves muscle tone, range of motion, joint flexibility and delivers a natural pain relief by reducing muscle spasms.
